The peace deal negotiations between the United States and Iran are “proceeding in an orderly and constructive manner,” President Donald Trump said on Sunday, May 24.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote that the US blockade on Strait of Hormuz will continue to remain in “full force and effect” till the time both sides reach an agreement.

“The negotiations are proceeding in an orderly and constructive manner, and I have informed my representatives not to rush into a deal in that time is on our side. The Blockade will remain in full force and effect until an agreement is reached, certified, and signed,” he said.

The US President suggested that both the sides must take their time and get it right.
“There can be no mistakes! Our relationship with Iran is becoming a much more professional and productive one. They must understand, however, that they cannot develop or procure a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb,” he added.
Trump has thanked all the countries in the Middle East for their support and cooperation, adding that it will be further “enhanced and strengthened by their joining the Nations of the historic Abraham Accords and, who knows, perhaps the Islamic Republic of Iran would like to join, as well!”
This comes after Trump earlier stated that Washington and Tehran have “largely negotiated” a memorandum of understanding on a peace deal, which could possibly reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
The closure of the vital shipping passage has sparked a global energy crisis since the US and Israel launched major strikes on Iran in February.
Multiple reports in the US and Iran said the memorandum sets out a framework to end months of fighting as well as lifting a US blockade on Iranian shipping and reopening the waterway.
